Jason is a health psychologist by background and has worked in the NHS and VCSE sector for over 20 years.
He currently works as Senior Implementation Lead in the Transforming Cancer Service Team for London, part of Healthy London Partnership, with the aim to support the NHS systems to deliver improvements to the quality of life for people affected by cancer by providing strategic and clinical guidance to deliver personalised care for people living with and beyond cancer. He specialises in primary care and is the lead for Primary and Community Care education. During the first wave of Covid-19, he was the chair of the COVID-19 Prehab Clinical Working Group and the group has produced a toolkit for cancer prehabilitation community in London.
He is a strong believer in tackling health inequalities and has been leading and championing in social prescribing and personalised care since 2016. He is the lead for Cancer Health Inequalities Group for London. In addition to his work in cancer, he played a significant role recently in supporting homeless people in London during Covid-19, and his team won the prestigious 2020 HSJ Award for Health and Local Government Partnership.
Jason is also passionate about reducing societal inequalities and is a strong believer in intersectionality. He is the deputy chair in his organisation’s Ethnic Minority Network.
