Paul’s main focus of work is at University Hospitals Birmingham where he leads the neuro-oncology / radiosurgery MDT. Prior to taking a consultant post in Birmingham Paul undertook a neuro-oncology/radiosurgery fellowship in Toronto. He started as a consultant in Birmingham in 2008 where he led the implementation of image guided intensity modulated radiotherapy and cyberknife radiosurgery. During his time as lead for the radiotherapy service at UHB (2013-18) his focus was on high quality radiotherapy access for all patients. In addition to neuro-oncology, he has an interest in head and neck / skull base tumours. He has supported several trials including through chief investigator, primary investigator and trial management roles. His interest in the management of brain metastases is reflected through ongoing clinical trial development and support for the NCRI brain tumour group.
