RHALL, Ms Christine
I started my cancer nursing career 27 years ago when I got my first staff nurse post on a oncology and medical ward. I have worked in a variety of roles caring for oncology and haem-onc patients, adults and children and at all stages of their cancer journey from a diagnostic pathway to end of life. I completed my oncology and chemotherapy studies at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London followed by a number of years working in London and Manchester in specialist nursing roles. I returned to St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the place of my initial nurse training at the inception of acute oncology as a speciality, and have been privileged to work as a CNS in the first established acute oncology nursing team in the UK for the past 12 years. I have been the lead nurse and advanced nurse practitioner for the acute oncology team for the past 3 years. I am passionate about Acute Oncology, improving acute care for cancer patients, advanced practice and developing nursing roles to support innovative nurse delivered services for this patient group.
