O’KANE, Dr Grainne

Dr. Grainne O’Kane is a GI medical oncologist and associate professor at the Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute where she is director of the Clinical Trials Unit. She continues to have an adjunct role at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. Dr. O’Kane completed her fellowship in GI oncology  at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre where she then joined faculty as a Clinician Investigator and Assistant Professor at The University of Toronto. Her primary research has been in HPB cancers and integrative molecular profiling of tumours for biomarker development. Dr O’Kane’s translational research has resulted in multiple merit awards from ASCO, ESMO and AACR. She has also been awarded an Ontario Institute for Cancer Research grant for window of opportunity trials in liver and pancreatic cancers.
