Jane has worked as an occupational therapist (OT) at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork and then at The Royal Free Hospital, London from 2011-2017 covering a range of medical and surgical specialities. She has been working at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London since 2017, across surgical and medical oncology wards, as well as with oncology outpatients. In November 2021, she commenced the role of occupational therapist (OT) on the Senior Adult Oncology Programme (SAOP) and works part-time in this role and on the wards. She is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) Older Persons and Oncology Specialist Sections and is a member of the International Society for Geriatric Oncology (SIOG). She co-edited a chapter in the ‘Oxford Textbook of Palliative Medicine’ (6th Edition) published in 2021 and was co-author of ‘Integrating what matters to patients in the care of older adults with cancer (commentary on the INTEGRATE Study)’ published in the Lancet Healthy Longevity in 2022.
