Marinka Mravak-Stipetić, DMD, MSc,PhD is a full professor in the tenure track position at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb and a specialist in oral medicine, dental pathology with periodontology at the University Dental Clinic University Hospital center (UHC) Zagreb. Fields of clinical and scientific work include oral medicine, oral oncology and oral care for cancer patients diagnostics and therapy of oral mucosa diseases, multidisciplinary aspects of the interrelationship of oral and systemic health, salivary gland diseases and disorders of salivary secretion, molecular diagnostics of oral infections and oral precancerous lesions. Her narrow field of professional and scientific interest encompass immune disorders of the oral cavity, precancerous lesions of the oral mucosa and chronic graft versus host disease (cGVHD).

She is a member of the multidisciplinary team for the study of chronic GVHD at UHC Zagreb. She has attended scientific and professional training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Washington, USA; at the Eppendorf University Clinic in Hamburg, Germany and the State University Hospital in Graz, Austria. She is an author of many published professional and scientific papers in the field of oral and dental medicine, chapters in professional and scholarly university books, chief editor of recently published book „ Oral health through systemic health-multidisciplinary approach“ , translator and editor of the 1st Croatian edition of the American university textbook “Burket’s Oral Medicine, Diagnosis and Treatment” 10th edition, edited by Greenberg MS, Glick M., and „Atlas of Oral Medicine“ 3rd edition, written by Laskaris G. She is an active participant of numerous domestic and foreign meetings, organizer and lecturer in numerous continuing education courses, reviewer in indexed domestic and foreign journals, projects and books written by foreign and domestic authors and leader and investigator in several scientific projects.

As a member of the European Society for Oral Care in Cancer (EOCC), she has participated in the development of EOCC guidelines that are translated and published in the Croatian language and endorsed by the Croatian Chamber of Dental Medicine.

She is involved in the organization and delivery of graduate, postgraduate and doctoral study teaching courses in oral medicine, clinical immunology, hematology and maxillofacial surgery at the School of Medicine, and School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb. She is the leader of the Oral Medicine and Pathology course at the vocational school for dental assistants. Dr Mravak Stipetić is a mentor of 43 graduate student theses, 8 master and 7 doctoral theses. She serves as the chief mentor to the residents in oral medicine, periodontology and dermatology during their specialization. In 2017. dr Mravak-Stipetić established and lead the Refferal center of the Ministry of Health for Oral mucosa diseases. She is the founder of the Croatian Society for Multidisciplinary Collaboration in Dental Medicine at the Croatian Medical Association. Dr Mravak-Stipetić was awarded by the Diploma of the Croatian Medical Association for recognition of her contribution to the profession, science and well-being of the people. She is a member of numerous working bodies of the School, Croatian Chamber of Dental Medicine and the Ministry of Health and of several professional domestic and foreign societies. She is married and mother of two children.
