Dr Jane Frankland is a Senior Research Fellow in the Macmillan Survivorship Research Group at the University of Southampton. The work of the Group is focussed on understanding recovery of health and wellbeing post cancer treatment, identifying those most likely to need self-management support, and developing and testing supportive resources to manage the consequences of cancer and its treatment.

Jane’s research focuses on the everyday experiences and work of health and illness, self-care and self-management and help seeking decision making. Her current projects include qualitative work to understand and explain how people connect with and mobilise supportive services and resources to help them self-manage; and analysis of large datasets to characterise sexual wellbeing among people living with and beyond cancer.
