Fiona Eatock is a consultant endocrine surgeon at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.
After graduation from the University of Glasgow, Fiona undertook basic surgical training and research, leading to a MD, in the West of Scotland. She completed specialist training in South-East Scotland, Northern Ireland and Cardiff. Currently, she provides subspecialist endocrine surgery for patients from across the province, with a particular interest in the management of endocrine cancer, including thyroid and parathyroid cancers, adrenocortical cancer and malignant phaeochromocytoma and paraganglioma.
She has published on many aspects of endocrine surgery including adrenocortical carcinoma, phaeochromocytoma and multiple endocrine neoplasia. She is treasurer of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons, teaches on the BAETS Thyroid/Parathyroid and Adrenal Masterclasses and is a member of the NICE Thyroid Cancer Guidelines committee.
