Dr Pippa Corrie qualified in medicine at Oxford University, having already undertaken a PhD in anticancer drug development. She has been a Consultant and Associate Lecturer in Medical Oncology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Cambridge since 1997, where she has held senior service and research roles. She has been involved in leading NCRI, NCRN and NIHR LCRN groups. Currently, she is NIHR CRN Cluster F Co-Lead and NIHR National Specialty Lead for Late Phase and International Cancer Trials. She previously chaired the NCRI skin cancer group and currently chairs the NCRI Pancreatic Cancer Workstream.
Dr Corrie’s specialist research interests are in experimental therapeutics associated with treatment of melanoma and pancreatic cancer. She has a number of academic and industry collaborations, and has published widely. She is Chief Investigator of the NIHR portfolio INTERIM (Intermittent dosing of dabrafenib+trametinib in metastatic melanoma) and MITRE (Microbiome Immunotherapy Toxicity and Response Evaluation) studies. She is co-founder and Trustee of the Melanoma Focus national charity.
