Miss Boyle completed her specialist registrar training in Leicester in 2010. She then undertook a post-CCT fellowship in Leeds, focussing on the management of patients with advanced and recurrent colorectal cancer. She commenced her consultant post in Leicester Royal Infirmary 2011. The team now provide a supraregional service for patients with complex pelvic cancers, of colorectal, gynecological or urological origin. She is also a dedicated intestinal failure surgeon. She is actively involved in training junior surgeons and medical students, being course director for the Royal College of Surgeons of England’s Basic Surgical Skills course and faculty on the NOTSS course, teaching non-technical skills and human factors in surgery. In addition to her clinical work, she is Clinical Lead for Health and Wellbeing in University Hospitals of Leicester.
