BENTHAM, Dr Robert

Robert Bentham completed a MSci in Mathematics from Imperial College London in 2011, following that he moved to University College London for a MRes in Modelling Biological Complexity where he went on to do a PhD (2016) in Bioinformatics studying the altered regulation of mitochondrial biogenesis in cancer. In 2018-2019 he spend 1 year in industry at the Centre for Drug Research and Development in Vancouver, Canada where he worked on the target validation team. He returned to academia in 2019 where he joined the lab of Nicholas McGranahan at the UCL Cancer Institute as a senior research fellow. His recent research has focused on studying the immune system in cancer and building bioinformatic tools to estimate lymphocyte abundance from DNA sequencing data.
