ARMSTRONG, Dr Anne
I graduated from Bristol University in 1995. I specialised in Medical Oncology, training at the Christie Hospital, taking up a Consultant post in 2007.
I specialise in Breast Cancer, with expertise in all aspects of the medical management of breast cancer from early to advanced disease. I have a particular interest in breast cancer in young women, including fertility preservation and pregnancy as well as survivorship issues. I am also actively involved in clinical and laboratory-based research, with a focus on immunotherapy, having completed a PhD at the University of Manchester in 2002.
I sit on the NCRI Breast Clinical Studies Group and am Co-Chair of the NCRI Breast Symptom Management Subgroup. I was the Clinical Lead for NICE for the 2018 update of the Early and locally advanced breast cancer guideline.
