Robert Armbrust is a senior consultant at the Department of Gynecology of the Charité University Hospital in Berlin; one of the largest oncological tertiary referral centres in Europe. The hospital is certified as European Competence Center for Ovarian Cancer and holds the ESGO certification as Center of Excellence for both Ovarian and Endometrial Cancer. He was trained at the Gynecological Department of the University of Munich and at Charité Berlin under Prof. Dr. med. Jalid Sehouli.
The focus of his clinical work is the surgical and systemic management of gynaecological cancers with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. He has initiated and co-led the Prehabilitation and ERAS program at the Charité Gynecological Department together with Prof Sehouli. His research addresses the surgical aspects of ovarian cytoreductive surgeries with special focus on the development and validation of surgical quality indicators of gynecological cancers in Germany.
Dr. Armbrust is involved in several national and international trials conducted by the Working group Gynecological Oncology Germany (AGO) and Northeastern Society for Gynegological Oncology (NOGGO) and serves as reviewer for several peer-reviewed international Journals.
